Top 3 Family Friendly Cycling Routes in Singapore [2021]

Exercising as a family can be an exciting adventure as you traverse through both new and old parts in Singapore. Let us show you some of our favourite cycling routes that are suitable for families with children. The routes featured are relatively flat and are relatively short (not more than 4km).

1. Marina Bay Loop

• Easy ride with many iconic landmarks like Esplanade, Merlion, Helix Bridge and of course, Marina Bay Sands
• Easily accessible from Bayfront MRT Station
• About 3km long, perfect for kids on their first rides
• Many rest stops including a row of cafes around the Singapore River and restaurants in Marina Bay Sands

For families who wish for a longer ride together, you may continue down to Gardens by the Bay and turn around at Marina Barrage, which would add another 11km to the loop.

If you are lucky, the kids may have a chance to catch the otters along the jogging trails near the Flower Dome.

2. Jurassic Mile

• 1km walking and cycling and jogging track
• Accessible from Changi Airport Terminal 4
• Adventure for toddlers and children who have interest in dinosaurs
• Chill and relax at Jewel @ Changi

For a unique cycling adventure, Jurassic Mile will be a good option. Be prepared to make many rest breaks despite the short route as your children stop to admire their favourite dinosaurs.

3. Coney Island

• A small mangrove located just off Punggol
• Large variety of flora and fauna
• Have fun trying to spot over 80 species of birds
• With a cycling track of about 2.5km, families can take rest breaks under the shelter of the tall trees
• Explore the coast of the island for more scenic views.
• End off with Punggol Settlement or Waterway Point with ample facilities for a quick change and meal.

This place is great for nature lovers and building your child's interest in bird watching.
