The WEICON Multi-Crimp MC4 is a professional ratcheting crimp tool designed for repeatable, process-safe electrical terminations. The ratchet mechanism includes a blocking device so the tool only opens after a completed crimp cycle, helping maintain consistent crimp quality. An emergency release is built into the handle for misuse situations, and eccentric adjustment allows fine tuning of crimp force.

This set uses WEICON’s Multi Change System (tool-free module swapping) and includes 3 interchangeable module pairs:

  • MC4 connectors (PV): 2.5 / 4 / 6 mm² (AWG 14–10)

  • Insulated wire end ferrules: 0.25–6 mm² (AWG 24–10)

  • Insulated cable lugs/terminals: 0.25–2.5 mm² (AWG 24–14)

Ergonomics & storage: Non-slip 2-component handles for comfortable force transfer; modules are stored in a compact plastic box/case.

Frequently Asked Questions

WEICON 51000700 / 10100515 Multi-Crimp MC4 Ratchet Crimping Tool

How does the ratchet mechanism improve crimp quality?

The tool uses a ratchet mechanism with forced locking so it only releases after a complete crimp cycle, helping produce repeatable, consistent crimps; it also includes an emergency release and adjustable crimping force (eccentric adjustment)

Where are these crimpers used in?

They are used in control boxes and Photovoltiac Cables (in the solar industry)

Why is a good crimp important?

A good crimp is important because it creates a secure, low-resistance connection and a strong mechanical bond, helping prevent overheating, loosening, and electrical failures over time.
