Abranet Ace is designed for efficient sanding with excellent dust extraction, helping you achieve a cleaner surface while working faster. The open mesh structure allows air to flow freely, reducing clogging and extending abrasive life, while delivering a consistent, controlled cut across the surface.

Well suited for sanding where clogging may cause problems such as sanding and preparing concrete before painting. Also suitable for wood, paints, fillers, primers, composites, and metals in workshops, body repair, and surface preparation applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mirka Abranet Ace Sanding Discs

What are net abrasives?

Net abrasives (also called mesh abrasives) are sanding discs/sheets made with an open net backing instead of solid paper/film. The mesh lets sanding dust get pulled through the entire abrasive surface into a vacuum, giving more effective dust extraction, less clogging, and often longer abrasive life when used with a dust extractor.

What is the difference with Abranet Ace and other abrasives?

Abranet Ace gives faster cutting, excellent dust extraction with less clogging, and more consistent sanding results, especially on tougher materials.

What material does Abranet Ace use?

Abranet Ace uses ceramic (and ceramic-coated) abrasive grains bonded onto an optimized polyamide/polyester mesh (net) backing—ceramic is used for faster cutting and better durability on hard, demanding materials, while the mesh backing is used for full-surface dust extraction and less clogging, helping the disc cut more consistently and last longer.
